Tennessee Trade Show Award |
Chefs, specialty food buyers, food writers and critics gathered in Nashville for Pick Tennessee Products Trade Show on Feb. 26th. We were there with a display of our cheeses and plenty of samples. Lots of people stopped to taste the cheese and watch our video presentation about the goats and the farm. At the end of the show awards for the best Tennessee products were announced. Bonnie Blue Farm was chosen as the best, winning first place. Commissioner of Agriculture Ken Givens presented Jim with the pictured award.

Jim & Gayle,
I just wanted let you know how much I appreciate everything you've done for me. You both are such nice folks and I just love having a little bit of your wonderful herd here with me. The girls are doing great. The one has stopped limping and now become ridiculously spoiled. Her bottle can't be to warm or too cool, it's got to be "just right". The other is rotten to the core and insists on sitting in your lap!

This is the greatest compliment we can receive:
Hi Jim and Gayle –
Hope you had a great holiday. I promised to send you an email and tell you about how it went with the 10.6 pound wheel of aged Gouda that I got for my family as a Christmas gift. I took it to South Carolina still whole and we all gathered around and cut into it on Christmas Eve. We cut it into “shares” – eight pieces – one piece to eat while we were all together, and then one piece for each family to take home (this was for my parents, myself, and my five siblings and their families). The cheese was a beautiful creamy white as we cut into it with a delicious aroma. Photos were taken as the cheese was cut up. Small pieces were shaved off and passed all around, and everyone was thrilled with it. There was immediate discussion of pairings with wine and fruit, and speculation of how good it would be in a salad or on a sandwich (“imagine the grilled cheese sandwich this would make!!”). We vacuum-packaged the cheese shares for travel. Everyone was sure to get their share before they left for home. We kind of liked the idea of the family sharing in something even though we all live in different part of the country. We may have started a new holiday tradition! “The Christmas Cheese.” Thanks and take care. Susan.

Jim, It was great to meet you, but it was even greater to taste the goat cheese I bought from you this morning.
Goat cheese from happy goats who are well fed and well taken care of is mild, flavorful and delicious.
I was so happy, and so were the folks I served it to: some wrinkled up their noses, telling me that goat cheese is too strong, but they were surprised by yours.
I can't wait to try the feta and the marinated. I bought the Italian herb and the chive;both were wonderful.
You really know what you're doing, and I thank you. See you next Saturday.

I purchased your cheese at the Chattanooga market. I regularly buy artisan cheeses. Your cheese is some of the best I have ever eaten. Thank you for providing such a wonderful, healthy product for people to enjoy.
Many Blessings,

Dear Cheesemakers, My girlfriend just purchased a container of your garlic & chive goat cheese at the Chattanooga market. It is outstanding! My grandfather used to buy yea-toast (gât ost) but I've never had such a sublime goat cheese. Congratulations, you've won a convert and customer. Thanks for the great treat, I'll be looking for more of your product soon.
Any outlets down in Birmingham? Thanks,
Tod
Sorry, no stores in Birmingham area.
